Learn Languages with AI

This module helps you learn any language you choose — not just English — by turning modern AI tools into a patient, always-available practice partner. Tell the AI your target language, your current level and your learning goal, and it adapts the lesson to you.

You don't need to speak Portuguese to use this module, and you don't need to be learning English either. The prompts work for practically any target language, using the same structure — only the language you type in the variables changes.

How it works

How AI can support your language learning

A modern AI chat tool can take on several roles in your learning, all in the same conversation:

  • Teacher — explains grammar and vocabulary with simple, contextual examples.
  • Conversation partner — role-plays real-life situations so you can practice without fear of making mistakes.
  • Pronunciation coach — helps you aim for clarity and intelligibility, not a native accent.
  • Exercise generator — creates practice activities matched to your level and goal.
  • Feedback partner — reviews your answers and explains the reasoning behind each correction.
  • Study planner — organizes a realistic schedule around the time you actually have available.
What you practice

Every skill, not just vocabulary

Real communication uses several skills together. The prompts in this module are designed to cover all of them, gradually and in context.

Listening

Understanding short dialogues and audio at a pace suited to your level.

Speaking

Guided conversation practice, from single words to full role-plays.

Reading

Working through short, level-appropriate texts and everyday messages.

Writing

Producing simple sentences, messages and short texts with feedback.

Interaction

Back-and-forth exchanges where you respond and the AI reacts, turn by turn.

Mediation

Summarizing or relaying information from one language or format into another.

Pronunciation

Practicing for clarity and intelligibility — never a required "native" accent.

Active recall

Short review moments that bring earlier vocabulary and structures back to mind.

How to use the prompts

  1. Open any learning path and pick a prompt that matches what you want to practice.
  2. Select Copy prompt to copy the full text.
  3. Replace the text in brackets, like [TARGET LANGUAGE] or [CURRENT LEVEL], with your own details.
  1. Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or another modern AI tool.
  2. When the activity is interactive, answer one question at a time — the AI should wait for your response before continuing.
  3. If a prompt asks something unclear, the AI should ask you for the missing detail instead of guessing.

These prompts are written to work across different AI tools without relying on any single platform's exclusive feature.

Correction style

Choose your feedback style

Many prompts let you choose how the AI corrects you. Pick the style that fits how you like to learn.

Gentle

Corrects only what would make you hard to understand. Good for building confidence early on.

Balanced

Corrects the most important errors after each response, without overwhelming you with every detail.

Detailed

Corrects and explains each point, then asks you to try again. Good for deeper study sessions.

Whichever style you choose, the AI should tell apart a real error, an unnatural (but understandable) phrasing, a regional difference, a formal-versus-informal choice, and a variation that's simply acceptable.

The method

A simple learning cycle

Most prompts in this module follow the same underlying cycle, so practice stays consistent from your first lesson onward.

Regional varieties

One language, many regional varieties

Most languages have more than one widely-used regional variety — for example, European versus Brazilian Portuguese, or American versus British English. Neither is more "correct" than the other; they're simply different.

Many prompts in this module include a Regional variety field so you can tell the AI which one you'd like to focus on. If you don't have a preference, you can leave it open and ask the AI to mention notable regional differences as they come up.

What this module is not
